Jeremy and Ashlyn= young love!

Ashlyn is the daughter of a friend of mine, and today we decided to go for a walk. Jeremy and Ashlyn have been good friends for a while, Ashlyn has even called Jeremy her 'husband' before. I couldn't resist snapping this picture today as they innocently held hands going down the street.

Feeling the Love

Morning all!! I'm in love with life today because my children slept until 8:30. Which is really great, because the annual Hyrum fireworks are tonight, and we would really like to keep both the kids up for all the festivities. Ammon's paycheck was pretty great this week, so we're actually going to go get some fireworks of our own, which is something we've never done before. We're pretty excited. There's something about the Fourth of July that makes me feel very patriotic and warm and fuzzy. I don't know if it's heat exhaustion, or if it's actually the combination of the Cruise-In, the fireworks, and the fact that everybody has a free day off of work and school, but it always ends up being one of my favorite holidays. I love staying up late to watch the fireworks, and I love that Jeremy is finally old enough that he might actually make it this year. The last couple of years we have tried, and he has fallen asleep before they get started. I think all my good feelings are also related, in no small part, to the fact that Ammon and I will have been married for six years on Monday. We're celebrating Saturday night, so as to not interfere with the July 3/4 festivities. Still, sometimes when I look at him I can't believe that he's my husband, and that I'm so happy with him. Sorry guys, I don't mean to get all sappy on you, but it just feels good to put in writing how wonderful my husband and children are. I hope everyone has a happy Fourth!!

Summerfest

Jeremy hanging out in a hammock and testing out his horsemanship at Summerfest. We had a great time getting out with some friends and browsing through all of the artistic wares that are always on display for the festival. There has been some talk lately about shutting it down, but we hope it will stick around for a long time!! I mean, where else are you supposed to go to get great funnel cakes?!?

A day in the life...

This morning Jeremy decided that he needed to read the paper like Mom and Dad do, so he went outside, fetched the newspaper for us, and settled himself down with a bowl of cereal and the Home Depot ad (wouldn't grandpa be proud?!) He has decided that we need to acquire a riding lawnmower to cut the grass. Never mind that we don't have any grass to cut or anywhere to store a riding lawnmower, in the world of Jeremy, we need to run right out and get one.

Continuing the madness...

I took both boys with me today and went grocery shopping. It's 90 frickin' degress outside, and I had to get out of the house. (also for reasons unrelated to temperature). So.....since Ammon is now carpooling with Emily's WONDERFUL husband Brent, I have the van and I decided to take a jaunt to the local Smith's Marketplace. Wow. What the heck was I thinking skipping naptime and taking two cranky, tired, and BUSY little boys into a grocery store with me. Wow. Needless to say, it was a fast shopping trip and the best thing I can say about that is that I forgot to buy vegetable oil, which made frying the corn shells to have taco tonight well, interesting. Thank heavens for neighbors, right?

Anyway, my boys are downstairs playing basketball (the two older ones) and I think Kadon might combust if I don't get off the computer soon, so this will be all for tonight. Hugs and Kisses!!

Welcome to my madness!!

Hey all, I got this idea from a friend of mine, and started to think that it might be a fun way to keep in touch with our far-flung family and friends!! I promise to faithfully update several times a week, and post pictures as often as I can. You can post replies, e-mail me thoughts, or even join in the fun and start your own!! Let me know what y'all think, if you're fans then I'll keep going, if no one enjoys it then I won't continue.....

Hope all is well with all of you, sorry we haven't kept in touch better with some of you, and hope all good things happen to everybody!!

Love,
Victoria and the 'boy crew'
